Exmouth Journey - Part 1 - Fishing Video

I'm sure all of you want to see some more Exmouth footage, well, here it is - Salmo style. Part 1 is an introduction to the series and doesn't have a lot of fishing, but the scenery and creeks just makes you wish you were there. Part 2 will be coming in the following days and has a fair bit more fishing, hope you enjoy some of what Exmouth has on offer.

And a big thanks to Adam for putting it up.
Yep was a great trip.
It got ugly after a few days out there which is what Adam is alluding too.
You can only get to the good stuff Jay by boat. Just a 50km tinnie trip across the gulf (directly opposite the marina) Good parts of it are A Class reserves which you cant land a boat.
You can drive a car down into the southern gulf via Giralia Station (now owned by CALM). They charge a entry/camping fee. Lots of shallow flats there…great for G Herring, Queenies and blue salmon on fly….Not so good in a tinnie unless you know the area….most of it isn’t mapped.

Jim (the guy with the turtle) has a lease for Safari Island (he got to name it!) runs a camp there.

Hey Bod

Ok Safari Island is hard to find on a map. But if you find Simpson Island its just north of that and just south of Tent Island (both of which are A Class reserves)
Jim runs camps from 3-7 days targeting most of the critters you expect to find around there. Light tackle paradise
Summer time also sees barra come down from Urala creek.

Costs include pickup and return from the marina (or seaplane if you have the bucks) three meals a day, fully guided creek trips or if you preferr you can take a hornet out yourself.

I will post a few pictures up of the camp

thanks Salmo, I googled safari island exmouth and checked out Jim's website. I now understand why your vid resembles a nature trip.
